Hi,
You shouldn't, they are overtaking, horns aren't for that.
But of course your not a vehicle and don't pay road tax so on that basis I would of probably beebed too
We haven't paid road tax since 1937 it was replaced by Vehicle Excise Duty. This is a tax on cars emmisions not road use and it goes straight into the general Treasury fund. It is currently worked out on the CO2 emmisions so electric and some hybrids pay nothing, just because you pay VED doesn't mean you own the road as we all pay for the upkeep of the road through government spending not road tax. Use your horn as a last resort to warn people of your presence not just to signal that your cheesed off for being delayed for a few seconds.

Armadillos in Birmingham.
As well as the CTC (cycling UK) I am also a member of MAG ( motorcycle
action group). I now seem to have a conflict of interest as I am supporting
one group to make cycling safer and another to make motorcycling safer.
Judging by posts already on the subject the armadillos don't work and in
some cases are outright dangerous. Can we all campaign to get them removed.
In Birmingham on Hill St they have been detached by the busses clipping
them and you are now left with a quarter inch stud sticking out of the
ground. Punctures and accidents waiting to happen.
