Re: Trains...why?

You say "terrorise" and I don't agree. Terror is an emotion, some people are terrified of spiders, that doesn't mean the spider is a terrorist. No terror/terrified are words over used to make something quite trivial seem far worse than it is. It's a form of attention seeking.A "my ex...

Re: Fred Whitton

Do you mean this actual text on the official Saddleback Fred Whitton Challenge Facebook page? Will you just stop with the nastiness? Alex said There was no such ban according to the details of the road closure notice I've provided you with a link to that notice and he is obviously 100% correct. Not...

Re: Fred Whitton

There was no such ban according to the details of the road closure notice which stated that a way will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists at all times. There was if you read post #1 of this thread. The organisers posted on Social Media that cyclists without an event number would not be allo...

Re: Trains...why?

I've had drivers on a few of occasions try to terrorise me by deliberately trying to knock me off and similarly so on the tandem rendering Mrs R2 to tears,I've been brake checked, has missiles thrown at me from passing cars and on one occasion had a car drive along side me then slowly try to drive m...

Re: Team Sky is now Team INEOS

If somebody burns 5L of petrol travelling to an event and through their actions 5,000,000L of petrol goes unburnt then the net effect is less pollution despite your arguing they can't protest because of being hypocritical - they did and it had a net positive effect!    Thank yo...

Re: Team Sky is now Team INEOS

oh dear but I think you have summed up why you cannot appreciate the points I'm making. Ian I cannot appreciate the points you are(trying) to make because they are Hypocritical. All this "I don't agree with this or that" so "I do this and that to counter it" or "I do my bit...

Re: Trains...why?

“in fear of my life”...????? Please stop being so melodramatic for effect  If you really are “In fear of your life” then maybe the modern outside world isn’t for you? For some reason of your own you want to deny that cyclists are frightened by drivers. You are on a loser there. Look at the th...

Re: Team Sky is now Team INEOS

Does the existence of Trek bikes or people riding Trek bikes affect you? Carbon and Climate Change would undoubtedly affect everybody so I would regard the comparison as not relevant (though I do appreciate that analogies have limitations). As people posted earlier, Ineos has been up to some things...

Re: Trains...why?

Old cars/motorcycles/bikes....no.Chances are if they were crap in the 50s/60s/70s/80s time won’t have improved them.A 2019 Ferrari will always look better and be better than a 1960s Ferrari(I’ve argued about this many, many times with my mate) likewise motorcycles and bikes. New cars/motorcycles/bik...

Re: PlusMinus

I disagree with the word terrorise.I have never met anyone “terrified” or “terrorised” on the road.If someone is I suggest they need help in general to cope with society.
This Forum is getting more anti-car everyday.
No wonder “cyclists” are hated by the mainstream

Re: PlusMinus

Says the man who wastes electric by pressing buttons to stop traffic and causes motorists to waste fuel while he sniggers hiding in a nearby bush. I do not waste power, the times are so long several cyclists/walkers are waiting before the lights change. I do not snigger behind a bush Slows down the...
