Re: Body Clock

There is no normal,I am nearly 70 go to bed 11.30 pm get up 8.000 am This sleeping 8 hours straight through is a relatively modern phenomenon. Up until the the late 19th it was normal to go to bed when the sun went down and get up in the middle of the night and either do some menial tasks or prepar...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

...... You assert that it's not European core countries who are responsible for the main funding of Eurovision. That's untrue. Furthermore you. assert that the EU don't contribute to the budget of the host country. Also untrue. I think you need a lesson in geography, and then truth before you contr...

I see what you did there, but you're still yapping nonsense. Founded as a European Union of Broadcasters (the clue is always in the title , it, like the Tour de France has been smart enough to co opt non European countries to expand its reach and diversify its audience. The core funding, for both t...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

The fact still remains unequivocally that the Eurovision is an organisation of TV companies unlinked physically, financially, politically and Geographically - totally disconnected from the EU, something the map shows clearly I see what you did there, but you're still yapping nonsense. Founded as a ...

Re: SRAM new 'AXS' for MTB/road

Here’s a concise and simple description of li-ion ageing by a battery scientist. It explains calendar ageing and the impossibility of optimising the battery design for both high and low temperatures, which is a problem for bicycle batteries that have to sit in the sun outside a Mediterranean café o...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I can only hope that Brexit means no more Eurovision Song Contest? Thast would be a silver lining  I rather like Eurovision, in fact when Terry Wogan was the compere for the English speaking end it was one of the rare comedic treats of the schedule. Stuff your Brexit. Variety as the say, is t...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Hi Again, Like MickF I don't consider myself to be a "European"! I'm a Lancastrian first, then British. Other than that I relate to the being like Number 6 - "I am not a number I am a free man"! TTFN MM I would say that is demonstrably false. You are as (an original) Briton a Eu...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

By focusing on the 'evil members of the EU' we run the real risk of taking the lens off the staggeringly inept homegrown politicians. Like I said previously, if these clowns don't get their act together and deliver a Brexit they actually works they won't be able to walk down une streets of the UK an...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I see May has just bought another 21 day 'stall' from Junker. So no meaningful vote now till March. No deal though, however much is touted as reality is IMO less than 5% probability. No one wants it, no one can realistically afford it. Its just a convenient bogey man with which to whip the stupid.

Not in France, it can take up to 2 years to get a spouse's funds released, and that's going through a pricey solicitor to do the legwork.

Re: CryptoCurrency Itts Up

Apparently there's a laptop lost in a landfill in England somewhere with £25 million worth of (7500) bitcoin on, which the owner purchased on the first release of the currency for roughly 0.01% of that. Fight with a girlfriend, he goes away for the weekend, when he comes back she's tossed it to the ...
