Re: A place to record lenient sentencing for motorvehicle....

why you say that ?because if you get behind the wheel of a car drunk, you are a potential murderer as much as one who carries a knife.

And yes, I have done that when younger, I thank myself that I never caused an issue at all and yes got away with it but I realised when 30 that could not continue ...

they are inspiration but no idea how their body does not give up on them this was his latest update ! That's just batshit mental! I'm a trendy consumer. Re: How to pay it back

Are you in a cycling club? If so, leading new and prospective members would be good. I recall a (now sadly departed) club member who used to give up a lot of his time mentoring us 'new recruits' and IMHO it would have been impossible to put a value on his contribution to our future enjoyment of the...

Re: The Adventure Show

I will always remeber how watching this show with Mark Rigby's highland ride and just how that inspired me to go longer and further.

OK the weather for that one was perfect of course but just shows how perfect our sport can be !

Re: Audax video channel

enjoyed watching a couple and good look for your PBP attempt. What I would be interested in is a discussion of your bike, what you have and how you maintain it.

Re: Riding for 24 hours

I thought my cycling events were extreme but I know a guy who has just done his 87th marathon of the year !!! including 10 in 10 days and in a couple of weeks doing a 100 mile run, that's extreme !! There is a guy down by me like that, he has done 2 10 in 10s, winning races all over the place. I di...

the last rider is pretty safe as numbers will mean no real threat, this is an excellent idea and good luck, nothing I can take part in as lets say a distance from my commute !

How to pay it back

I have been looking at trying to pay back my enthusiasm to cycling to especially kids and difficult. For example I have looked at bikeability and yes they make kids wear helmets etc But with my enthusiasm for the sport, what I have done, what I can show kids I think I can give so much back. It would...

OK it is the Mail so we get a pic with flesh on but the story is true and with sentences like this no wonder motorists think they can literally get away with murder

Re: Riding for 24 hours

Hi, Well done! Running is very power sapping because you spend time air born, walking no. So long runs tend to be brisk walks, especially if hills are involved. Walked 46 miles in 16.5 hrs with camping kit etc, footpath mostly over the moors, coastal paths might be hard core, where I live there are...

Re: Are you listening to LA's podcasts ?

I love podcasts on the bike and usually have 20 to play at any one time from cycling to politics to health. I used to listen to Lance when he first started forward and found it good, he was a good questioner but more and more he started to only get people he knew personally became too chummy. Then I...
