What sort of thing are you thinking of? The ones I've seen and/or tried are certainly tastier than freeze dried, but significantly heavier for smaller portions.
As posted, if you include water weight to re-hydrate, it is about the same. So if someone has to bring the water to re-hydrate it's the same weight as a ready to eat meal.

Bosch can certainly be removed. Yamaha, from the images seems removable, but each manufacturer does their own, Shimano does not remove

Re: Dehydrated meal suggestions required

I believe dehydrated meals are necessary when one has a constant water source. After all, if one carries a dehydrated meal plus the water to hydrate it, then there are no weight savings. There are many ready meals packaged in a pouch now which are much tastier than freeze dried and packaging weight is the same.

Re: German technology and my backside don’t agree

I mounted an Ergon SM, I too was expecting pure comfort, but after several hours of riding, it became a tad painful. Considering how much the saddle cost, I did not want to put it in the bin. I put gel cover on it and now, I can ride much longer.

Re: Please help to recognize.

It's priced like a rare vintage bike. It needs too much work to get your money back, but if looking for a pet project, it is a classic. Not for my money
The frame looks too neglected to be worth anything near that

Re: Please help to recognize.

The seat stays look like they were poorly repaired. Not enough detail on the bike to give an opinion

Re: Mystery bike with "fleur de lys" lugs

Best of luck with the restoration. After attempting to restore several antique bikes, I gave up. The parts compatibility is by far the most difficult part of the work. That and removing seized parts

Re: Any steel e-assist manufacturers?

I would assume that steel framed ebikes are quite rare seeing as the advent of aluminum occurred much before the ebike boom.
Seeing the links provided are hub drive ebikes, I would suggest you convert your own.
I am a fan of mid drive motors and would prefer a Bafang motor installed by a professional on the bike of choice.

I was in a similar situation. I purchased handlebars with a 4cm rise. So the computer stays at the same height, but the handles are higher

There are still tour dates from last year. Even if it were a valid company, I would not go with them just for the fact their website has not been updated in a year

What an odd experience. I've been using Schwalbe Marathons for years with no such disaster. I wonder if it's related to a particular production period or facility.

Thanks for the links. Their rates do seem ok, however my wife really would prefer a mid/crank drive e-bike and both these companies seem to only have hub drives. I have contacted them for info, incase no other options present themselves. Cheers.
Another option is Decathlon

Re: Bicycle touring in Puglia, Italy

Looks like some good riding. No real climbs to speak of. The country is beautiful, though most is a little arid. The food cannot be beat and the local wine industry has come a long way.
I would google for reviews, and when I opened the site, my anti virus blocked several cookies as threats. Not sure if that is intentional.
Each region in Italy has numerous organized bike tours, if there is a region you prefer there are tour companies
Let us know how it turns out.
