Re: Suitable pump for AirZound horn?

Strange. Maybe you have an older version?

Mine very clearly has 100PSI printed on the can.

Re: How do you choose a saddle?

If you can, take your 'comfy' saddle to the shop with you and use it as a template for both size and shape and with it in your hand you can compare padding levels too but do bear in mind that a new saddle will almost certainly feel stiffer than your tired old favourite. I've had a look in a few sho...

Re: iPhone GPS navigation app

They don't say what mapping they use but it looks like Apple Maps (on iPhone) which must be the worst mapping available anywhere and is an "online" solution (i.e. no pre-downloading of maps (so, if that is the case make sure you have a good data contract and stay in good GSM coverage). If...

Squirt chain lube (wax)

Does anyone else use wax on their chain instead of oil? The idea is that you completely degrease your chain and apply the (liquid) wax. As it picks up grit, it sticks to the wax, and the wax/grit falls off the chain, so (in theory) you never need to clean the chain again. Wipe off excess grit, re-ap...

What does it say on the can itself?

I just double-checked mine and it doesn't actually say "max 100psi" (must've mis-remembered). It actually says "100PSI / 7 BAR".

How do you choose a saddle?

I really need a new saddle, but I've no idea how to choose one that I'd find comfortable. I have a half-decent mountain bike that I use both on- and off-road. It came with a saddle so hard that after just two miles, I had to get off and walk. Yet my old knackered bike that cost £125 new has a fantas...

Re: iPhone GPS navigation app

I like MapMyRide. I log in to their website on a PC, plan a route, send it to my phone, and it tracks you, with a big red line showing the route on a map.

Re: Suitable pump for AirZound horn?

Thanks all! (And apologies for the delay in replying.) I'll have a look at those valve extenders. I saw a post on another forum where someone was having problems screwing on an old-style (non-quick-release) pump as apparently the valve on the AirZound rotates freely. Definitely worth a go if they're...

Suitable pump for AirZound horn?

I have an AirZound horn, but none of the pumps I've tried fit very well. It seems that the protruding valve isn't quite long enough for any of my pumps to get a grip and push in the centre pin far enough to allow air in. So far, the only pump that works reliably is the air compressor at the local pe...
