Cant get any of them to work at home either on a totally different computer and system. Blow... not sure how to do this now, as I need distances between cont...

You know your child is deprived when.....

She asks me 'Mum, why are there Union Jacks everywhere right now?"

Ermmm.... She hadnt realised it was an Olympic year, nor that the Queen was having a Jubilee.

Re: Concerning Marmite

LOL these replies. :) LOVE Marmite and both Shedman and I agree it has changed. Or maybe we are turning crabby with age... When we were teenagers, we found Marmite on toast used to tear the surface, and you had to be quite careful on quantity, or either toast tore, or the taste was very strong. Thes...

Re: Highest town in England?

Off topic, but I understand that Dent has the highest railway station.

Cycled to that earlier this year, and as I passed me and Enid dropped off the world the decent was so steep.

Re: Where do you buy your lard?

Boy, you were brave! Its not quite the same thing as dripping. Its refined. Contains transfats. I would avoid the stuff like the plague. No salt = flavourless, and it simply contains calories and not much else. Did you enjoy your melted candle feast? Why did you eat it? I expect cat food has less tr...

Re: What's a Comfy saddle

Ok, I know a lot of folk will slate me for this. I have had the RIDO saddle on both by bikes now (summer and winter models) since Sept 2011. I havent needed to wear padded shorts or pants since. Yesterday 89 miles in running leggings. Infact, I have ridden 2 x 100km Audax rides since October 2011, p...

Re: Great British Menu

With you there on the Veggie department CC :)

Everything protein based and well, in shades of brown.

When I cycle tour I become vegetarian because other wise its a plate of brown on a daily basis and its boring as heck!

Great British Menu

Well, another series, this time on the Olympic banquet theme. Ohh, I DO love this programme, being a bit of a foodie and a lover of producing a well planned and tasty dinners, I watch this show for inspiration. Cant avoid smirking though. They are cooking (sorry, Cheffing) for Olympians. But giving ...

Big pot of it for this mornings breckkie, as Im Audaxing. As for Coffee, I cant drink 'real' coffee. I drink GoldBlend when its available, but...

Re: Do all bikes have a frame number?

Funnily enough that is what Shedman said. 'Why do they want the frame number?"

I assumed someone can check the age of a bicycle with the frame number?

Anyway, I cant find it. I have emailed VN themselves to see if they can shed light on where it is located.

Do all bikes have a frame number?

Asking because I am trying to sell my Amazon titanium bike, and someone wants to know the frame number. Just unpacked the bike from her travel box, and nope... Turned upside down, nothing whatsoever on the bb housing, beautifully clean and polished and no sign of anything there. Nothing on drop outs...

Re: Manxman to cycle the world!

Trigger where do you get your info from? I would love to follow this, but not sure where to go? Something I could say to Paul, is that he hasnt proclaimed his ride to the world very much, and following his progress isnt easy. Be nice to read a bit more of the ride from all the cyclists, but I expect...
