Re: One gear, 100 miles a day, across the continent

Upminster, isn't that the end of the tube line beyond Mornington Crescent?

Not quite, but it is about 6 stops further on than Barking

Re: Travel Insurance

Taylor Wheels (Germany)

Very good service, pair of 26" 36 (2mm) front dynohub, zac 2000 rims.

Ordered Monday AM from Germany, delivered Wednesday PM!! Wheels appear well built (obviously only time will tell). Cheaper than I can buy the components in the UK.

Re: Doping whilst Curling

I tend to agree with " Thirdcrank" I often avail myself of a decent malt whilst camping in Scotland to obviate the midges; it doesn't get rid off them. But eventually one doesn't care.

Doping whilst Curling

Why would one need PED's to enhance one's performance during curling? Are we soon to hear a similar revelation concerning tai chi? :?

Re: One gear, 100 miles a day, across the continent

Back in the day I used to tour on a fixed, but with a flip-flop (40 x 16) and (40 x 22) for the hills; however in those far off distant days my legs weighed more than my belly does now. Also the 22 sprocket became a freewheel after an unfortunate "incident" descending the butter tubs that ...

I think you have cracked it, I can feel a book coming on; probably will outsell Erich Von Daniken,s Chariots of the Gods.

I am going to call it..................... The Humming Fluffy Dust Bunnies from Mars
