Indeed - no undies neither!
I never forgot the pic I saw taken at an event of a poor girl wearing hers inside out with a red pad - she was the centre of attention for the wrong reason!

Re: Where I can buy UNPADDED bib tights?

Lusso appear to now only do shorts. Not according to their website. http://www.lusso.bike/product-category/mens/bibtights/ I always use unpadded and have Lusso Cooltech and Repel. They do indeed but I clicked on 2 links on their home page that took me to 2 pages of shorts only - their website desig...

Re: Whatever happened to the colour pink?

Gender stereotyping? I can imagine some women hating the colour. As for a whole frame being pink, you are rather stuck with it, unlike a pink top that can be slung in the back of a drawer or worn occasionally. About 8yrs ago, I bought a pink helmet (half price & no sniggering please). The only c...

Re: 10 Speed triple v 11 speed double

As has been stated - it partly depends on the ratios. My hybrid has 10/3 (48/36/28 - IIRC with 28-11) whereas my endurance has 11/2 (50/34 with 28-11). 99% is spend on the middle & large rings during commuting where the jumps on the rear are a tiny bit too coarse on the triple but the differenc...

Thanks Grandad - ordered for £29.99. They are thermal but beggars can't be choosers - & at that price...

Re: Where I can buy UNPADDED bib tights?

Planet X .... TOP KIT ! Having to resort to using my iPad as my Mac Mini keeps loosing the keyboard & the web is crawling along so the end of the world (look up Planet X!) has happened after all! Can't find any unpadded on their site & Endura one’s cost £140 but are out of stock. :x Lusso a...

Where I can buy UNPADDED bib tights?

Both full length & just below knees - not thermal, otherwise I'd roast. In really cold weather, I'll wear padded bib shorts over or tights 1st.

Re: Moulton Heaven.

My mum had a Moulton back in the late 60s - 4 sp SA. I rode it for a couple of years to & from school - can't really remember much regarding the ride quality but the rear rack was pretty damn useful.
Well worth remembering that it had full suspension way back then. Was well ahead of the curve!

Re: 700c tubeless tyres

had internal nipples ... ?! Internal nipples? astonishing? My Defy does have CF rims but I just double-checked - the nipples are where they normally are! TBH, I'm yet to remove the tyres. As an aside, Giant have increased the front spoke count to 21 on many 2018 models - mine has just 20. IMO, Gian...

Re: Cycling as a whole; losing the plot...?

Would anyone want to return to quill stems, downtube shifters, Everready lights? I hesitantly returned to down-tube shifters a couple of years ago and kept them because I preferred them. With due respect to reohn2, 531colin, and others who have found ways to put simple shifters (i.e. not STIs) on t...

Re: Cycling as a whole; losing the plot...?

Would anyone want to return to quill stems... Now you've done it  Welcome btw. Thanks! We can't blame UCI for all the issues regarding not moving with the times - they appear to be mirroring the innate conservatism of road cyclists. Mountain biking ripped up the rule book & has introduced...

Re: Cycling as a whole; losing the plot...?

In the last 4 yrs, i've bought 2 new bikes. The 1st was a Ridgeback Flight 3 (10x3) chosen for having straight bars & hydraulic disc brakes. It is now my wet-weather winter bike. I've also returned to drop bars (after 20yrs) last April with a Giant Defy AP1 (11x2). Both have hydraulic discs thou...

700c tubeless tyres

Have just ordered a pair of Schwalbe G-One Speed 700x30c tyres for my Ridgeback Flight 3 winter commuting bike on Stan's Grail rims. I bought a Giant Defy back in April that came tubeless with their own Gavia SL 25c tyres - not a single puncture & very comfortable with decent grip in the wet des...
