Hi,
I am looking to buy a carbon cx frame and use on the road with road tires and dbl chainset etc..
Saw a cube cx today the guy who owned it said he uses it as a road bike and it performs better than his road m/c.
Have been told they reinforce lugs b/b and head tubes, sounds perfect for British roads.
Planet X XLS sounds perfect and frame is only 1700 gr.
Any help would be great.

Hoy frame
Hi,
Does anyone know the weight of the Hoy Irpavi 004 disc frame and forks, I have rung Evans office and they can't tell me,tried the shops they tell me the complete bike is 8.2kg so I can only presume its light.
Evans have them online so wanted to grab a bargain but need to find out what they weigh.
Any help would be great.
Thankyou

Re: Nelson frame
Was looking at the carbon / aluminium frame in yellow the local auction bike sold for £180 , have heard the 54cm frame only is 1500grams so a 300 gram fork I would say not a bad weight. worth a punt me thinks.

Re: Condor squadra frames
Thanks all, going to look at a new frame.
Kinesis Aethein Evo- Caad 12 -Specialized Dsw, have heard the Aethein is having fork issues though, Radial bikes also do a frame but I believe it is heavy.
Planet x Galibier is light sub 1kg but is having probs with it's forks as the " new 25mm tyres" are too wide and rub on the crown so theyare selling them off cheap sayingthey are safe on 23mm.

Re: Kinesis Aeithien vs Planet x Galibier
Thanks for the info, yes I'm aware both have carbon forks, my existing bike has them, the reason is in my Saturday / sunday ride out groups I've seen very expensive carbon frames Break!!! One bottom bracket fell out the bottom another the forks gave way, a famous Italian brand rear brake seized in the frame now needs a replacement frame as they are saying it is because the cycle was ridden in the rain, it was just out of warranty ! when the brake was cut out they found no carbon paste on the brake to stop the reaction between metal/carbon, more reason for staying metal frames. I am a keen hill rider so also looking at something to help climb better. Probably go Planet X Galibier as it is a Pro carbon made of aluminium.

Kinesis Aeithien vs Planet x Galibier
Hi,
Think I posted in wrong place on forum
Does anyone know what the Kinesis aeithein is like as a general road bike, I have spoken to some dealers who say un-comfortable after 3 hrs on the saddle others say great-light-responsive and fast climbing hills.
I am not a fan of carbon frames and the life of them x ££'s, so my option is to stay with what I trust.
My other option is Planet x Galibier ,similar but a cheaper build.
Any help would be great before parting with some cash.
Thanks
