As the old adage says: if you commute twice a day all year and you have around 15mins lee way on starting out time, then you'll only get soaked 12 times during that year.

I'm looking to get my 12 soakings in during the next couple of weeks

unfortuanatly I have to run IE for some of my software and I believe that IE7 (and later IE6s) may well bugger my SW too, due to the JVM. :(

But, as I said before, it's no biggy so I'll not lose any sleep if it isn't changed !

DrJones, cromo is an alloy - are you sure that you don't mean "Alu"?

Now, that is clever, but a tad expensive for me...think I'll carry on with lashing the camera to the bars with a toe strap

I too find it difficult to answer the question. I have MTBs, road, SS, tourers, commuters, tandem at the mo (but on the look out for a folder too). I tend to go between them in phases -bit of MTBing, bit of tandeming, bit of day touring, etc 'cos it keeps me keen. Thus hard to answer the Q. Plus, I ...

Ctl mw will also make things better for me but then it makes the UIs on some of my other SW unreadable  and it's a pain (i.e. I'm too lazy to keep changing it) Something that might help is if you changed the text "You have no new messages" to something like "no new messages"...

That box to the left..

The one that has a blue bar: "Home" above it, with the box itself containing "Forum" "FAQ", "Search", Profile", etc

Could it be put elsewhere, as on some screen resolutions it takes up almost a third of the screen ?

I too would vote for a bar bag.

If you do have STI then all is not lost, in some cases they will still fit, and in those that don't then you can replace the gear cable with that flexi silver stuff (like what TMobile used) or a slightly modified rollijigtravel agent doodar.

Re Tabanab's comments on fitting nearer the brake lever. This would seem to make sense: the 'downstream' part of the wire (lever end) moves more than the upstream part (brake end) thus any stretch in the wire will have more impact on the lever end, so it seems sensible to have this part as short as ...
