Re: Proving I'm me!

Asking for a utility bill or a bank statement is a very insecure way of proving identity. With a PC and printer you can knock one up in under five minutes. Any number of utility provides have pictures of their bills on the web, easily downloaded and edited. For this particular case it has to be som...

Re: Ye shall know them by their post-politics careers?

Various posts trimmed or removed, as telling people to get a life or that they have the intellectual capacity of a 12yo is not conducive to constructive debate, and, as has been demonstrated here, will only serve to divert the topic to discussion of each others' (perceived) character flaws. Have a n...

Re: Are These Mudguards Safe

Ive used similar ones....the stay does indeed pull out of the little plastic housing if enough force is applied.....leaving the metal stay pointing up at the rider ready to impale them if they happen to be crashing at the time.

Re: Halfords to sell Bromptons

If Halfords buy out evans as suggested by cycling weekly would they not automatically become agents as are evans

If they do then it will make things interesting round our way as both halfords and Evans have opened brand new stored right next door to each other!

Re: Moving Up The Left On The Inside

What is advice by cycle training instructors for newbies Filtering is not an outcome covered by L2, given that it is meant to be conducted on relatively quiet roads. Filtering is an outcome covered by L3, which can take trainees onto any road upon which it is legal to cycle. Trainees are allowed to...

If in the office then 12 to 20 miles. On the rare occassion i get to ride for me then it'll probably be a 20-40mile g...

Re: Schwalbe Marathon Vs Marathon Plus tyres.

I've been using M+ for years 26x1.5ish riding litter and glass strewn cycle paths and tracks, and pothole covered roads. My experience is that they cut down on p*nct*res for three years but then I start to get a number of p*nct*res....mostly from bits of glass than embed in the tread and then, over ...

Re: Moving Up The Left On The Inside

If only it was so black and white. I ride up the left, or the right, or the middle, or wait in line. Depends on the circumstances, types of traffic, type of junction, familiarity, time of day, direction of sun... As a hard and fast rule "don't ride up the left" is fine but in the real wor...

Re: Cyclo cross/gravel/adventure/touring - steel or alloy?

"Cyclo cross/gravel/adventure/touring - steel or alloy?" Has anyone been a pendent yet and pointed out that steel is an alloy  I would be inclined to choose the bike on the bike's individual characteristics rather than what it was made from - i.e. go test a few and choose the one you ...

1.5m rucksack covers

These arrived on my desk recently. Wonder if they will help? Or will they act as a flo-yellow rag to a bull in a few cases? https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/44208382_2101017100215043_8682148583522172928_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&oh=fff0e820f26a809f6dda7d76b3437f14&oe=5C58E6F7
