Re: Cycling shorts - any recommendations?

I ordered a pair of these https://www.corinnedennis.co.uk/traditi ... horts-1317 on Saturday and they arrived today. I haven't ridden in them yet but they are a good fit, feel comfortable and appear to be well made

Re: Bike24 - exchange rate question

If the website doesn't have facilities for multi currencies then you'd have to ask who provides your payment method what their exchange rates and charges are, unless you use PayPal, which as you say shows the amount in sterling before you complete the transaction

Re: Bike24 - exchange rate question

That will be down to how you pay and the charges from your credit card company, bank or PayPal

Re: Choosing a bike - Opinion and advice needed

Can you fit mudguards and a rack? If not then it's not a touring bike.
How low is it's lowest gear?
What size tyres can you fit?

5m contours there?
They are at 10m intervals here.

Is this a difference with the mapping from area to area?

One map is 1:50,000 and the other 1:25,000
Having said that, I went for a walk with my wife and daughter in the Quantock Hills this afternoon, we used a 1:25,000 map and I'm sure the contours were at 10m intervals.

Edit, just checked, 5m intervals on my 1:25,000

Re: Father's Day - What did you get?

A bottle of IPA Experiment Glenfiddich - a single malt matured in barrels used for brewing a citrusy, hoppy IPA. I haven't sampled it yet!

Private, for access to the Abercamlais estate, according to this.

That's a fascinating website. I've just spent a good few minutes looking up some sites areound where I live

Re: River Usk, nr. Trallong, Brecon

It's shown as "Other routes with public access (not normally shown in urban areas) The exact nature of the rights on these routes and the existence of any restrictions may be checked with the local highway authority. Alignments are based on the best information available." on the OS Map

So it's not a public right of way but there is access. I'd risk it

Re: Who do you resemble?

Many years ago I was told I looked like Cliff Richard (I'm 20 something years younger than him), but now I have grey hair and wrinkles, he doesn't.

Why does you going in to Lidl to buy Pain au Chocalate cause a nuisance?

Where did gbnz say anything about buying? ;)

Good point
