Re: Badgering for a badge

The cloth badge on Wiggle isn't in the same league as the one fausto copy shows pictured. Which councillor are these available from?

Re: Badgering for a badge

Hopefully I've uploaded a photo of the only transfer I've still got on a bike that I am using. This is what I really want! The white surround, dark blue background with gold lettering and motif. At one time not so long ago I had these transfers at the top of the downtube on every bike I own, then th...

Re: Good location for day rides????

You could try Lancaster where the CTC Birthday Rides were based in 1996. You can go to the South Lake District, Western side of the Yorkshire Dales, The Fylde and the Forest of Bowland AONB. Oh and Lancaster used to have the most entries in the Good Beer Guide but that was before Thwaites took over ...

Re: Badgering for a badge

I have successfully "lifted" the winged wheel design off a CTC website so if I can do that then surely some computer whizz kid can produce a sticker good enough to use on a frame? My printer will do DVD labels (so it says) so surely we are half way there? Does anyone know how we can produc...

Re: Weather and Audax

On Sunday I did the 110km ride with an 8 mile warm up to Milnthorpe and back beforehand. It was breezy, a tailwind to Newby head but at the turn there it obviously became a headwind. However, I had 42 miles on the computer by 12:00. The wind did slow me down on the way back but was nowhere near the ...

Flasks

I bought two 0.5L ribbed flasks from Wilkinson's about 3 years ago and I've just discovered that they fitvery snugly in a standard bottle cage.

From the numbers of "accidents" some people have it seems to me that some people need cycle training.
There is no such thing as an accident all collisions have a cause, usually operator error.
I hope the poster who got a right hook is taking the perpatrator to court.

There's no point reporting it to the RSPCA, there's no cruelty to the animal. Dog warden if there's no injury, police if there is. I used to go past a farm where the dog ran along inside the fence but then got out and chased. Eventually I discovered that if I slowed down and growled back at it it st...
