MT90s

Seeing the reviews of these, I decided to get a pair. I already have a pair of SH-W 101s for offroad but wanted something different for the daily commute. For me the trouble with all Shimano shoes is that they are on the narrow side. I have wide feet and bought one size up which fits a treat. I wore...

Canti boss

The best book I have found for this sort of thing is http://www.sutherlandsbicycle.com/7th_Edition.html - On the web preview page they have a pdf of the brakes chapter which will answer some of your questions

Sport Tour

A good alternative is the Fahrrad Manufaktur T900 sold by Bikefix. It's 700c so gives fewer options for offroad, but otherwise should fit your criteria

http://forum.ctc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13191&highlight=passat If you have the estate version this may fit. I have a Passat estate and use the VW boot mounted rack. It bolts to the car, clears the lights and plate and you can lock two bikes to it. Access to the boot is then through the back sea...

Super 7 Torpedo

I have a super 7 torpedo going free (postage only). It is built into a 27 inch wheel (I think!). I might even be able to find the clickbox if I dig deep enough

Ergo shifting

I agree with PW. I was plagued with a mystery shift only to find I had anchored the cable wrongly on the rear mech - such a delight to find the solution was so simple.

Glasses

I can vouch for optilabs. The varifocals I have from them seem to compensate for the forward lean. They are not comfortable for walking and driving unless I tilt them down, but are perfect for riding!

SJS do a useful bracket for mounting lights onto carriers. It is a bit industrial but very effective. http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Busc ... ht-583.htm
