in my opinion all the cycle lights on the market are rubbish and really underpowered. That's because you've bought low end cheap rubbish. Mountain bikers use good lights offroad when doing night riding, it is these sort of lights you will need. They illuminate the trails in pitch black very well. L...

Trains are useless, tarmac the train lines and let the cars use them as motorways.

Then the urban roads will be much safer for cyclists.

The recent highway code says you need pedal reflectors, reflective/high visibility clothing and a rear reflector. My comments: 1. Reflectors are rubbish, I have a 140 lumens rear light which you can see from a vast distance. 2. Clipless pedals have no reflectors. Reflectors step into the breech whe...

I have a hybrid and have done plenty of miles on it so far with no ill effect. Knee pain is due to many factors. If you pedal too slowly and push really hard then you damage your knees. You need to keep your cadence high. Knee pain is also a sign of the saddle being too low. Knee pain, saddle too lo...

705 is designed for cyclists though. The 603cx doesn't have HR or cadence monitoring. If those features are essential then you have to get a 305 or wait for the 705 if you want maps.

Motorsport is popular simply because cars are popular. If you don't like cars and like cycling then you'll watch cycling races. Much of the cycling races you see on TV are long distance events like Tour de France. Maybe if riders raced around a track like cars do then people would watch it? especial...

Steam powered vehicles are also exempt. Both by most of them being older than 1972 anyway and the fact they're steam powered.

It amazes me how many people overtake me on blind bends. The drivers on the other side of the road aren't impressed and have beeped their horns. I had a tractor overtake me and nearly run a car off the road. Not to mention all the 4x4 drivers that meet me on a singletrack lane and won't move over on...

I have Specialized Armadillos on my road bike, very durabele and puncture resistant.

On my hybrid I'm using Continental Contact Sport tyres as my hybrid has MTB wheels. A good tyre but I'm not sure how long they'll last.
