Re: Tradesman unlawfully charging VAT
I could request a refund but that may mean the person continues to perpetrate this act of deceit, perhaps preying on a person of limited means .The money lost is insignificant but this person is a cheat, pure and simple.. and my instinct is to expose the person as such.

Tradesman unlawfully charging VAT
I had some work done in a rented flat-a shower was leaking into a flat beneath .I was unable to attend.. The invoice added tax at 20 per cent.No tax was identified just a three letter word.I have subsequently discovered the person is not VAT registered. I have considered the following action
1.Report incident to HMRC
2.issue LBA and recover tax charged using MCOL ie small claims
3.Report the matter to Action Fraud.
I am keen to be guided and open to other suggested courses of action.

VLS was a huge fan of rock music ,and had an extensive collection of the Stax and Atlantic labels. He devised his own karaoke tracks featuring Steve Cropper Duck Dunn and others from Memphis music.A very funny man ,not always intentionally..

How about limiting the use of cycle to cycle lanes only? This would liberate the shackled motorist and allow for faster travel?

Fawlty Towers was unforgettable. Who can forget the episode when Basil was visited by a former teacher ,from Wellington School?John Cheese was born in Weston, a rival of Torquay, who he sought to discredit. Apparently in one episode his real wife did a cameo role.
