Re: Sore Back on the hills...... why

I forgot to mention that the guy that fitted me for my bike told me to increase my cadance to a minimum of 90 but preferably 100 plus. I can manage 80 but anything-more than that and it just doesn’t feel natural. ........... normally my cadance is around 70 Neil Here https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.co...

Re: Sore Back on the hills...... why

On a slope your position will be slightly different. If it's the very lower back; just above the buttocks, you are probably putting pressure on your sciatic nerve. You might be able to resolve it just by shifting your weight forward a little. But if it were me, I would go back to the place where I ...

Sore Back on the hills...... why

Monday I did a 92 kilometers ride with 1800 feet of climes. I had a sore lower back from 40 to 60 kilometers (where Mose of the hills are) after the hills I was okay...... tired but okay but with sore knees as well Wednesday I went for a bike fitting and they made a few adjustments to my Road bike t...

Re: Heart rate monitors

I have two. Fitbit iconic and Wahoo Ticker. Both work extremely well and I love the fact that the ticker one syncs with my Wahoo Element giving me a nice big readout while riding.

Tri Eye cycling glasses

My new Tri Eye cycling glasses arrived today and they are amazing. I haven’t been out on my bike yet........ it’s nighttime here in Thailand, but planning a ride tomorrow morning so will give some feedback after that ride. The polarized lenses really make everything pop, and the rear view mirror is ...

Re: Changing from 1st to 12th

Presumably, the electronic shifters are/could be programmed to take care of this, shifting both front and rears practically simultaneously. If not, why not? I think this is the first suggestion I've made that anyone has actually taken any notice of. Usually my meagre contributions are eclipsed by p...

Re: Changing from 1st to 12th

Update; Just finished a 60+ kilometers ride and the synchronized gear changing was amazing especially going from small to big ring. Going from big to small ring needs just a milly second longer off the power to get a really smooth quite gear change......... I’ve hardly been in the small ring as most...

Re: Changing from 1st to 12th

Okay update. I have now figured out how to set up my Di2 shifters so that when I go from large to small ring and vise versa it will automatically drop or add 3 cassette gears. Tomorrow I’m out riding so I will give it a go and give you some feedback when I get home. Neil Blimey, that sounds complic...
