Re: Another Campag/Shimano question

Don't let the prices of the two shifters influence you. Whilst Xenon is the bottom of the line in Campag, Tiagra shifters aren't worth £200 in manufacturing. The Tiagra's are probably better quality than Xenon shifters but if the rest is Veloce then it's easily changed at a later date, when they bre...

Brooks Site Technical Info

I've seen it mentioned a couple of times that Brooks have some technical info on their site. Items such as sit bone to saddle size measurement and similar but I don't see anything technical like this on their site. Where is it, can anyone offer a link to such insights?

Re: Child Trailer Safety

When my sons in the trailer he doesn't wear a helmet. When he's in the child seat on the back rack he does. I've always viewed the roll bar and frame as more than adequate protection from everything except a piano falling from the sky. As a precaution I stay clear of the Top Gear test centre.

Re: Bike trailers

Ooops - you can tell I'm a newbie... 24 pages of info on trailers on the site already! Well, it seems that a lot of other people use trailers successfully, which is reassuring. Now I'll get down to reading all those posts... Martin Don't worry Martin we all do the same thing when we start on here. ...

Re: Bike trailers

There's someone on here, his name escapes me, that swears by his CF. Except of course when it's wheels come off.

Will I ever ride again?

Nearly 3 weeks ago I started fitting a new kitchen in our house. It involved stripping out the old one, knocking down a dividing wall between kitchen and dining room and then putting it all back right. I'm still working on the last part. In that 3 week period I even was away for a week, just after I...

Re: Bits of wheel

Happy building! I've been itching to do another set but instead I'm fitting a new kitchen at the moment. Haven't even had time for a proper ride in nearly 3 weeks.

Re: Shimergo advice

I run Shimergo on my Thorn MK3 and my setup is as follows: Older Mirage 10spd Levers Deore 48/36/26 chainset Deore mech front and rear 11.12.13.14.16.18.21.24.28 Shimano cassette It runs great and I only have slight problems when the chain gets dirty (don't tell Mick). In terms of the difference bet...

Unfortunately they're all gone now it seems. Was thinking of ordering one but I can't find them anymore.

Re: slightly lower gears required - question

You can fit the cassette to the 105 hub but you'll also have to change to a Deore or similar MTB rear mech.

B17 Standard or Narrow

Looking at possibly getting a new saddle after this weekends ride. Still felt the ride until the next morning. Been thinking about changing the saddle all summer so it's not a one off incident. Anyways thought I'd try the Brooks route and see whether I love it or hate it. Only thing is I'm unsure wh...
