Re: Newcastle to Heathrow?
If your looking to shorten the Journey to Heathrow airport sure you can take a ferry to Harwich or Hull instead of Newcastle. But do not do so because some folk have painted a picture of a Mad Max post apocalyptic bike ride through a depressed and run down area where you have to cycle on "A&quo...

Re: Tour bike setup and Equipment
Here it is fully loaded at Koln on the Rhine. I hope that this gives you inspiration. My most expensive item from this set up is my tent (Vaude Taurus UL). Have fun planning and buying your kit - its addictive but doesn't have to be super expensive or over complicated. https://i854.photobucket.com/...

The place we stayed had no room for bikes and suggested we chain our bikes up in front of the hotel. They stated that many guests had done this in the past and that they had never had a proble...

Tour bike setup and Equipment
Hi all my first post on this forum. Last cycle touring i did went something like this: a few daft lads get on their bikes with a big rucksacks an OS map, puncture repair kits and peddle 50-70 mile with the reward of large quantities of alcohol. We'd go to sleep wake up in our ASDA sleeping bags cold...
