Re: I don't like living in England....

If GPs are selling off their practices they had better be stopped. Yes, its as I thought, instead of a group of GPs running a health centre, a company can run it employing suitable staff and observing good practices laid down. What isnt clear is do the original partnership of GPs profit from the ta...

You think that GPs aren't "part of the NHS" because most aren't employees? GP consultations are the most common encounter in the NHS.

Re: Census 2021 - is it just a big con?

Again... could we not find other less expensive and more to the point - other ways of where I am not actually involved, to get the same information... like perhaps ask the hospitals directly or perhaps check the housing waiting lists or something... The Parliamentary inquiry explicitly went into wh...

Re: Census 2021

So at no point could the data be found elsewhere, like say the number of births which are registered in the area.. and perhaps the number of deaths as well... I mean they have to be registered by law.... do we not think this could be an alternative source of data, which would be available on a year...

Re: Statins - side effects

I just wish people would stop apparently trying to prove that they work for everyone. I'm not aware of anyone ever saying that. Do you have any examples? Of course they don't say that, else the study would be criticised, but things like a study of muscle symptoms from statins that excludes loads of...

Re: Statins - side effects

...which if you click through to the Appendix 3, you'll see that was identified by searching GP records, not hospital records. I do check this stuff, you know! If a patient stopped taking statins because of symptoms attributed to them that would usually be recorded in the GP's records regardless of...

We enjoyed EV15 (apart from the heatwave). Some traffic free, some not. Mostly camping.

Re: I don't like living in England....

I cant, you have to register. You can also pay. But if you choose not to could you give me an estimate of how much you know about the 2012 Act, the purchaser-provider split and the rôle of CCGs? If you know the answers perhaps you can answer the question? The essence if which is do the Gps profit f...

Re: Census 2021 - is it just a big con?

One thing that occurs to me is that totalitarian regimes generally try to avoid an impartial census. Less objective information is in their interests. Fewer opportunities to challenge the lies, partial truths and omissions. One example would be that the official statistics show that the last 12 yea...

Re: Who's had the vaccine?

Has anyone had a different vaccine for their second dose? Probably very few. I've just been in a 2h webinar which included this: 1 The trials are starting. 2 Switching vaccines could reduce reaction to the components of the vaccine other than the bit that induces immunity to the virus. Re: Census 2021 - is it just a big con?

I have been privy to council matters that have used census figures to assist decision making, so yes, it is used for practical things. It allows councils to know the make-up of the population they serve, which ought to mean they serve them better. Oh right so this 1 billion pound census thing can b...
