Edit..
That's very kind of you ck.
I'd have to check if it fits as some places say my bars are too close together and some say it would fit
So it might lol
Thanks

Re: Tarp big enough to enclose a bike, bivvy and gear?
The thing I dont like about a tarp set ups using a bike is for if I want to nip off on the bike I can and leave my gear in situ. Last time I sneaked off to a local campsite showers
But no one can pinch your bike without waking you if your in a dodgy area using a tarp held up by a bike lol

Re: GPS on phone
XAPbob I use a pebble smart watch and keep my phone in my bag. Pebble allows me to start / stop tracking on my phone and displays speed distance time on my wrist. Also shows calls texts and emails so very handy

Re: Tarp big enough to enclose a bike, bivvy and gear?
Not sure where you get the 1kg and more bulk. my set ups smaller and lighter than most tarp set ups I've seen given that no groundsheet or bivy bag is needed.
Total weight of mine is 1.7kg including outer inner pegs pole and guys. Lighter poles are available. As I say no groundsheet or bag required and the lot fits in my 9 litre saddle bag with room to spare
You can use the outer on its own too if you wanted

Re: Cyclists in Stealth Mode.
A mirror wouldn't have prevented him hitting me
I've attended enough cyclists under cars at work to realise there is nothing you can do realistically. Your not even safe on the path I've been to those hit by cars too.
I wear lights and reflective stuff out of choice to possibly stand out more but victims shouldn't be blamed if they don't. If a driver isn't looking he isn't looking

Re: Good phone for GPS with long battery
I used to have a supernova plug 3 and it didn't charge when you had the light on Which to me was a big thing as I like to run daytime lights on the roador a cache battery built in. My mate has a b and m luxos or something that has a light and a USB and a cache all in one unit and it's very good and charges with light on

Re: Cyclists in Stealth Mode.
I had two front lights one solid one flashing a rear flashing one on the back of my helmet two on the seat post one flashing one solid and a solid on the rack. Not to mention reflectors including ankle bands and one of those red stick out arms with reflector one and finally a florescent full jacket with reflective stripes and writing on front rear and arms. I was brighter than a Christmas tree.
Yet cycling home from night shift at 0920hrs on a summers morning on a straight Road I managed to be not visible enough and was hit from behind by a car. The driver of which didn't see me

My dad has it it took around 45 years to show itself from working with it to diagnosis, and it wasn't long term exposure but he knew when it was
