Thanks Cowsham. That was my thought. I've refitted the seatpost with carbon paste, changed the saddle (and back again) and cleaned the contact points; not sure what else I can do in this area?
The clicking is on every pedal revolution; trying the bike out earlier I think it is still there but quieter when I stand up - it was frustratingly blustery to listen properly.

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
Thanks for the further replies.
The b/b is threaded (BSA).
The clicking is per pedal revolution I think. I’ll try to get out tomorrow to double check. It’s not a chain issue as I’ve got a new chain and had the problem with the old chain too.
I cleaned the seat post when I refitted that, but didn’t clean the clamp when swapping saddles, so that can be added to the next list of diagnosis.
Much as I like the idea of a new bike I don’t want to be beaten by this, and it’s got a few more years life yet!

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
On other points. I may have to swap out the b/b and chainset but don’t have the tools for that.
I like the stethoscope and turbo trainer ideas.
This could be a summer project....

Thanks third crank - that makes more sense now. I think it per crank revolution

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
Front cage doesn’t seem to be catching, and it happens on both chainrings.
I’ll look at the cable - I need these less obvious ideas! Hopefully one will fix it

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
It’s not dissimilar - that’s a higher frequency of occurrence than mine.
The bottom bracket bearings were replaced by a Campagnolo specialist and this hasn’t made a difference. (It is an Ultra Torque chainset)

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
Actually to expand on the “when the chain goes round” question. There is no clicking when back pedalling. I tried that too.

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
It’s every time I pedal. When my pedals go round, so does my chain!
It’s not when I freewheel so don’t think it’s a wheel problem.
It’s mainly noticeable when seated. I think standing eliminates it.
Holding bars or levers doesn’t make a difference.

Re: Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
Thanks - I didn’t swap the front but I’m confident it is fully tightened.
I’ll try a different wheel just to eliminate any other issues too

Clicking noise when pedalling - run out of ideas
I've got a constant clicking noise when I pedal. The bike is a lightly used carbon framed road bike (Viner) with Campagnolo Centaur (2007) groupset. There are no odd noises when I'm freewheeling
So far I've tried the following to stop this noise;
Chainring bolts tightened
Replaced pedals (and also tried different cleats / shoes)
Bottom Bracket bearing replacement and new chain fitted by LBS. Headset was tightened at the same time
Carbon seatpost refitted with carbon paste to avoid slipping
Wheels swapped over to eliminate the wheel / cassette being an issue
I've just swapped over the saddle to see if that's the issue, and have now run out of ideas.
Is it time for a new summer bike or am I missing something obvious?

Re: Broken Campag Veloce Levers
Thanks all for your replies. Looks like replacing with ultrashift inners will be the best option for me.

Broken Campag Veloce Levers
My ergopower veloce levers (2013) have started shifting up several sprockets and so need to be repaired or replaced. It seems this is a common problem. If I buy a new shifter body will I get the same problem in the future? Is there a better shifter I could get that might be more reliable?
