Only visiting the Cities as per my schedule. Straight line down from Rosyth to Pompey.

I suppose I should have included a bit more background info and many thanks for your interest. I am doing the Ride on behalf of The Type 42 Association which supports the RNMC Charity & Combatt Stress. The idea is to visit as many Type 42 Cities on the way ie: Edinburgh, Newcastle, York, Sheffield & Coventry (Both sunk down South) and Southampton. The Type 42 Destroyers were based in Pompey and Rosyth, thus the reason for the route.

The first two days - Edinburgh to Newcastle looks nice following Cycle Route 76.

Hi All
I am doing a Charity Ride from Rosyth to Portsmouth over 7 days leaving Rosyth on Saturday 29th June and planning to arrive on the Friday. I will be raising funds for the Royal Navy & Royal Marine Charity (RNMC) and Combat Stress.

I'm reasonably happy with Day 1 as I'll be following Route 1 from Queensferry to Edinburgh then 76 to Berwick. My main focus is on making sure I'm fit enough and training is going well. Any suggestions on the rest of my route please?? Even better, join me if you want!! My schedule is as follows:

ITINERARY – TOTAL DISTANCE APPROX 560 miles
DAY 1 Saturday 29th June– Rosyth to Berwick - 74 miles
DAY 2 Sunday 30th June – Berwick to Newcastle – 75 miles
DAY 3 Monday 1st July – Newcastle to York – 91 miles
DAY 4 Tuesday 2nd July – York to Sheffield – 55 miles
DAY 5 Wednesday 3rd July – Sheffield to Coventry – 91 miles
DAY 6 Thursday 4th July – Coventry to Newbury – 87 miles
DAY 7 Friday 5th July – Newbury to Portsmouth (Via Southampton) – 70 miles
