fitted mech today!...no probs!!
pushed out pin just so that it didnt fall out...but enough to free the link!
put on mech then screwed pin back in!

See your point about the chain, can be fiddly, a job I've done many times over. I take you have a chain tool, to push the pin out is about 6 full turns of the tool. To push back the pin, is to reverse the tool and again 6 full turns. If the chain links feels stiff, just flex the chain back and fort...

hi guys ! fitting a new front mech on my specialised sirrus!! the old one is loose/rattly and worn...only two years old but its done some miles!!! normally on the cage you can unscrew it...allowing you to simply slip the chain into the mech! but with this one the cage is joined by a rivet so i have ...
