im not cycling AT ALL over the hols!!!

done 220miles over the last 11days!!!
running a 5mile race on sun so im taking a break & letting my legs freshen up!

...still working on my bike tho!...

and what about recovering after...is it simply a matter of a few days off the bike???

replaced the chain today!

fits snug as a bug in a rug
only had to remove about3 or 4 links

my old one was seriously worn!!!

give it some time...im talking only a matter of weeks...and your weight will start to gradually come down...and your fitness levels will rise!

persevere with cycling and youll be glad with the results

maybe the weather will get a little warmer as you head south?!?!

there really is a difference between the weather in scotland and down south

i went to see the doc a few months back cos id feel really tired after getting off the bike! other things trigger my tiredness aswell...like if i sit down to read a book! as im only 19 i found this a little worrying!!!... went to docs...no probs really...bit of a funny heartbeat...nothin out of blue...

so...if you cant ride one on the road...and you cant ride it on the pavement ...where do you ride it???

rather than use a heart rate, i gauge effort/fitness levels by how i feel!

you can always tell if your going out too hard

there are quite noticeable differences between a hybrid and a mountain...namely speed and effort! hybrids tend to be easier to ride and quicker!

i ride both! whenever i get bored of the hybrid i go on the mtb, which is harder but varies things around!

i think ill just bite the bullet & sell it!

nd buy a 2nd hand smaller frame

A former neighbour who was a pretty fit cyclist got a job in Harrogate as cycling officer and commuted by bike for a while. Something like 22 miles each way. He had no car so it was that or nothing (apart from the expense of the train) and I think it's fair to say it got to him. He sometimes stayed...
