on the other hand...its another thing to carry around with you...another thing that could be stolen?!?!?!

plus it widens the bike...so youd struggle to get past bollarrds...or between cars!?!?!?

i prefer not to use them

i do 20 miles dailyon country B roads/ town roads the first 8 miles to work is under 30mins next 2miles are about 15mins thro town to college another 2 miles later again then 8miles home which prob takes 40/45mins... i always try & pace with the 'lycra clad guy' who flys past you on his thousand...

what i do is take my black lab out on the country road on a lead beside me...then when we get to the farmers field hes off the lead! works fine as hes pretty obedient!! however...the other day he come across a cat or rabbit or something!!! whoooossshh...he pulled me to the floor!! kinda funny at the...

i own a Specialised Sirrus... its great for commuting round town but also for longer distances i cycle 20miles daily to & from college on country roads and through town. ive had replaced the tyres with narrower ones to quicken the bike a little! on the whole its a great bike, really good quality...

have a look at the Specialised Sirrus hybrid bike. i bought mine (basic model) 2years ago for about £400...so it might even be cheaper now, yet they are still being produced new. ive fitted mine with 700x23c tyres, changing from the 700x38c they give you. its a great bike...and i do about 20miles a ...

ive read that you can use nail varnish...just to touch up!
which is great for black bikes!!!

but my orange bike was done by the bloke who had it before me...who used red nail varnish...which looks terrible because it doesnt match colours

We've discussed fitting tight tyres over and over. The main thing is to get the bead opposite where you are working right down into the well of the rim. FITTING TYRES???

HI

JUST FITTED SUM NEW 700X23C FOLDING TYRES ON MY RACING BAKE, BUT ITS A REALLY TIGHT FIT!!!

THE TYRE DOESNT SIT ON THE RIM EVENLY...THERE IS A BIT OF A DIP WHEN YOU SPIN THE TYRE ROUND!!
