lumotec fly IQ. but you'll need a dynohub as well, so that would make it quite expensive but saves the recharging.
it gives a good beam on unlit roads, maybe not as good as some of the top battery ones but it will run all night.

thanks,i've tried both of those and the connectors are a couple of mm to wide.
i'd cut them down but they seem to be of a folded design and will probably fall apart if i do!

male spade crimp connectors/tags

does anyone know where i can get male spade crimp connectors/tags.
the "blade part" needs to be 4.8mm,the same as a schmidt hub connections.
i want to make an adaptor so that my front light, which is from the scmidt, can be used with my son's renak which has a plug, but i still want it as a spare for the schmidt if mine breaks, so don't want to remove the spade connectors.
i've found a shop selling loads of the female but none so far has stocked the male.

just had a second eamil saying goods are in post so they're only a day or two adrift of the other two firms mentioned above.
they do seem to offer a more hands on and friendly service than the other two.
their prices are good and include postage, i feel they are definately worth using.

good service as they keep you informed but not very quick in my experience.ordered from merlin, chainreaction and dotbike on same day this week. merlin and chain reaction stuff has arrived but dotbike doesn't seem to have been dispatched yet.
i've found it usually takes a week.

a good petition, i'm sick of bone idle , selfish motorists blocking the pavements in our area, leaving us , and mothers with prams, no choice but to walk in the busy road.they seem to think double yellow lines mean park on the pavement, where they them crack the paving slabs or drop oil and deisel all over them.

it doesn't help when a certain car company mentions "road fund licence "in their ads on tv.
i thought it was either vehicle excise duty or vehicle tax.
looking on the relevant website road tax doesn't exist.
it is mentioned ,in the reams of paper that drop though the door with council tax, that a certain amount of council tax goes to road maintainance. so more or less everyone pays for their upkeep.

i've just spent all my birthday money, and a bit more, on a schmidt hub dynamo, with busch and muller lumotec fly iq light, and a nice neat handlebar bracket from sjs cycles.

been out tonight in the dark and it 's far ,far better than anything i've had before.

i find rack packs , carradice cotton duck ones of course!, a lot more stable than saddlebags, which move around too much for my liking when I'm out of the saddle.
