Why is 2M the minimum for pedestrians but cyclists only warrant 1.5M?

2M is just the recommended distance during Covid-19?
1.5M is the general recognised distance for motorised traffic to pass cyclists all over Europe?

Re: Neverspoons App

I've always found Wetherspoons to be soulless places.Cheap, yes, but I'd sooner pay a little extra for a real pub experience. You can't knock them for what they do but from my experience once you get inside they all seem to look the same.

Re: A1-Bamburgh/Northumberland.

It looks very good for route planning in unfamiliar areas.I will be having a good play around with it over the weekend.I usually plot routes and leave it up to chance whether or not my route is "good".It will be interesting to see where this software takes me......

Re: Donating bodies to Science?

Once I'm dead they can do whatever they want with my shell.I don't want a little stone monument surrounded by other little stone monuments leaving those left behind feeling they have to visit "out of respect". What has happened at that university is on the other hand nothing short of crimi...

Re: Team Sky is now Team INEOS

It has become obvious since his accident and Bernal stepping up that Froome's days at Ineos were numbered.Brailsford can be ruthless. It would be nice to think Ineos give him a chance to get the 5th TDF before he goes but DB won't get sentimental and if Bernal is looking stronger then he'll go for th...

Might one describe him as a 'terrorist'? Labeling anyone a terrorist is a bit extreme is it not? Gammon,idiot,prat,d-head.I haven't spoken to him in years and he used to be a decent bloke.Obviously as he's aged his views changed.Maybe they were always there but he never let on.Maybe we were all lik...

They'll probably get vandalised.Putting up signs is on the right track but the mentality of drivers in the UK needs changing. This will take years. The meme below was posted on a "friends" FB feed yesterday. He's a HGV driver. It's bad enough that he posts stuff like this but the fact it got ...

Re: A1-Bamburgh/Northumberland.

Thanks everyone. There is some fantastic cycling to be had on very quiet roads west of the A1, was down there a few days ago, in 40 mile I probably seen less than 10 cars!. coastal Northumberland in the summer months is sadly now just too busy, I keep the coast for the winter. I seem to be spoil for...

Re: Helmet manufacturer confirms helmets are useless in incidents involving motorvehicles

As we always knew Senior Brand Development Manager Eric Richter says there are "many misconceptions about helmets", and that when it comes to collisions with motor vehicles, it isn't possible to design a bicycle helmet specifically built to protect the user: “We do not design helmets spec...
