Re: Wahoo to strava: Heart Rate Monitor

Hi, Am thinking of getting a HRM, a Bluetooth enabled chest strap one, that I would have to record my rides in Wahoo and then sync with Strava. Does anyone know whether going down this route there is any loss in data compared to if the ride had been recorded directly in strava? I’ve signed up for t...

Re: 2020 Tour de France

Back to the racing this tour is wide open compared to tdf of the last decade stymied by ineos domination. Mark Hirschi has been exceptional and won a well deserved win today. Cheers James A couple of times I'm sure he locked up his back wheel on the descents. Certainly pushing it round the corners....

Re: 2020 Tour de France

Aren't they testing lots of people... or are you suggesting that people who are asymptomatic and test positive aren't "infected"? No I'm suggesting that we as a species are now "getting used to it" like with a cold for instance. That is what we do!As well as vaccines etc we build...

Re: 2020 Tour de France

[ He would have been wearing a mask which we are told makes it OK.If this is not the case then why are we wearing masks? Don’t know where you live but we are told mask wearing reduces the risk. Common sense also says spending hours in a car with an infected person you’ll need a miracle not to catch...

Re: 2020 Tour de France

Christian Prudhomme somehow isn't part of the race bubble. Go figure. He was meeting dignitaries, briefing reporters and hosting guests. How could he be part of the race organising bubble? He would have been wearing a mask which we are told makes it OK.If this is not the case then why are we wearin...

Re: 2020 Tour de France

the issue is that a single staff member each from Cofidis, AG2R, Ineos, and Mitchelton-Scott have tested positive for Covid. The reason why this is a big deal is that should a second team member test positive from any team, the whole team is then out of the race. That is what is wrong with the whol...

Re: 2020 Tour de France

It's reported that all the riders were clear after the rest day tests but several others on the race tested positive Including Monsieur Prudhomme:- https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/tour-france-director-christian-prudhomme-122501725.html I don't see an real issue here.Obviously people are going to t...

Re: ZOOM meetings

Is being able to speed through a Driver Awareness Course in under 3 hours a good thing? 2:45(with a 15 mins break) is more than enough time to get through what they have to.I think the courses have generally gone to half-day now regardless of C-19.(if they ever return to actually attending in perso...

Tyres,chains and cassettes!
I've seen bikes labelled as "Ultegra" specced with cheaper chains and cassettes!

ZOOM meetings

I've just completed my first ZOOM online meeting. It was a Blah,Blah,Blah course.I had a preconceived idea of ZOOM meetings but was actually pleasantly surprised! The last BBB course I had was a full day 9-4:40 but this ZOOM BBB was just 2:45mins and much better for it! I can see why many people now p...

Re: Frame damaged on first ride

That there be your problem!

That should not have been missed by QC after building but might have looked absolutely fine before it left the retailer.Luckily you haven't suffered a more serious issue :x

So what's with the awful enormous sunglasses this year? Is it a semi-covid face protector thing? Re: Frame damaged on first ride

I would always check the indexing/limits on any bike before riding whether bought online or not.I would also give any bolts a once over to make sure they're secure. On our last Majorca trip my mate brought his brand new, never ridden,Planet-X Pro-Carbon along. It was delivered a few days before we fle...
