And here's a lovely 4-year old thread, resurrected a couple of weeks ago: https://forum.cyclinguk.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=103374 You will find the very same thread-resurrecter has resurrected many threads lately..including a few of their own  Maybe they are trying to break some sort of po...

Re: Will I be wasting money?

Its your cash, but imho NO bike is worth £4000. Daft. Carbon everything that will ride like a pneumatic drill and go in the bin when it breaks. A Bugatti La Voiture Noire isn't worth $12.5M+ but I'd still buy one if I had the spare cash!Infact I'd settle for a $2.5m Veyron but still hope! It's only...

Re: Two separate threads?

The people who like helmets and want to tell people why they like them and why they wear them, can post on one thread. The other side of the house, can post on another thread about why they don't like them and why they don't wear them and why they want to tell people about it. Seems simple to me. A...

Re: Will I be wasting money?

People waste money on so many other things that they will never use to the full potential you only have to look at the cars people buy Off roaders that cost the price of small country , that will never anything more off-road than a gravel drive way. vehicles that break the speed limit in first gear...

Re: Surnames

We gave both our kids a double-barrelled surname(My wife's surname and my step-fathers surname). The eldest has dropped my families name as we don't have anything to do with them. The youngest looks to be thinking of doing the same.I used my step-fathers name from a young age(4) until a few years ago ...

Re: Of a peaked cap with mesh insert in peak?

To all those suggesting a traditional cycling cap where you can flip the peak up. I wimped out of mentioning that I wear it under a cycle helmet (to avoid instant flame wars). The cycle helmet prevents me from flipping up the peak of the cap (or twizzling it around, or perching it over one ear, or....

Re: Will I be wasting money?

If you have the money, want to spend it and won't miss it the why not? As others have said you can get a perfectly good bike for £1-2k but it's your money! Ask yourself do you want di2??? A question I pondered over for a while."Do I want or need Di2"? I now have Di2 and the question has bee...

Re: Two new food stores, why?

although they both have perfectly good premises already There's two new lights in the sky near me, that seem to be replaced regularly. I'm puzzled 'cos yesterday, there was a perfectly good, bright, yellow light in the sky, which was there nearly all day. I don't know why it's replaced every day. T...

Well Northumberland is definitely worth a second visit.Due to weather and family commitments I only got three rides in but they were enjoyable despite the changeable weather! The Coast road is about as busy as it gets(nowhere near as busy as roads in the Lakes/Peak etc) but the little back roads tha...
