Re: why the 'what three words' TV ad is so annoying?

You've almost certainly paid for Facebook, by buying products from companies who advertise with them. Do you not understand how advertising-supported services are ultimately paid for by you? Incorrect again. You seem to be good at surmising but not good at actual facts.I can honestly say I've never ...

Re: why the 'what three words' TV ad is so annoying?

Not at all. If I have issues with anything, it's the people spreading misinformation (w3w ain't free, no matter how many times Mick F uses it without being asked for payment) and metaphorically herding others towards the pig pens to be the commodity. OK so you keep saying. Show me where I have to p...

W3W.
Use it if you want to.
Don't if you don't.
The way certain posters are carrying on you'd think it was a crime to use this simple app

Re: Premium Service Charges?

I recently sent a parcel and when quoting the prices on offer the PO employee informed me that if the item was valuable I should send it tracked with a signature. When I asked how they will do that when the postal delivery personnel are just knocking and walking away I was told that under the C-19 ...

Re: why the 'what three words' TV ad is so annoying?

So the whole thing seems pointless to me.... Or am I missing something here? cheers I make a point of reading the local Mountain Rescue annual summary books that many self-catering properties supply along with guidebooks/maps etc. You'd be surprised just how many call outs they get to "we're so...

Re: A1-Bamburgh/Northumberland.

Well that's come around quickly. We're off up there tomorrow. We've just got back from a week in Lincolnshire.Quite nice cycling in it's own way despite being flat.I think I would get bored there very quickly though if I had to ride there week in week out.
Looking forward to lumpy rides again!

That looks like Rivington Pike?
We've ridden down those on the MTBs 8)

Yep. My default browser is Google. MacBookAir running 10.12.6 Sierra. I refuse to upgrade to anything more, as Sierra is fine and the later ones are not IMHO. Could go to Catalina, but won't. Google isn't a browser. It's a search engine.IE/Firefox/Chrome/Safari etc are browsers. If you type Google i...

Re: Askew

Try typing the word 'Askew' in Google and see what happens. Try typing 'do a barrel roll' (without the quotation marks). You're welcome. Nothing odd, and nothing to report. Askew gives definitions, and barrel roll gives stuff about rolling a barrel or flying an aircraft. Sorry, I don't get it. Has ...

Re: Yet another reason to avoid carbon frames

You obviously have money to burn I don't think it's a case of money to burn.People have different thoughts on what to do with the money they have. Some spend,spend,spend..some save, save, save.I do both.I save for holidays etc but I also spend my disposable income on things I like.I don't see the poin...

A Driver couldn't cope with a pedestrian crossing.... says more about the driver than the roundabout design! You're obviously reading between the lines and deciding what you think I meant! There is no between the lines I wasn't pointing the finger at anything.I was merely stating a fact.....ie &quo...
