Large portions, maybe a time to change

Before the Covid the Doctors said about a health check or MOT like.
Now as my old man expired before his time, beginning to think the clock ticking.

Now Salad a garnish in this house, if it's veg it's tatties and neeps, salad is the garnish in a burger with those gross green pickles pulled out.

Tried a kebab with salad, found it a bit overwhelming.

Now it isn't going to happen overnight, but steak and a jacket with peppercorn sauce could be acceptable.

Jackets with coronation chicken another possibility.

Really a carvery man, this salad business a bit new as everything out of s frier as a child.

What's the take on a carbonara that didn't look too bad.

Already missing the curry night and fish and chips.

Just thinking maybe time to consider our options.

Buying less food and the American fridge looks bare.

Started drinking water instead of tea and 4 sugars.

Re: 1957 Raleigh Superbe Restoration Thread

Is that like the paint that is on a pillar drill or our work lathe seems a similar colour.

Just asked the forum about a UK seller 1000w ebike conversion as we are rather large.
Saw your old bike paint and that's dandy like, can of paint and get the repair shop guy to paint them when quiet like.

Converting an old bike to an ebike

eBay item number:392578116045 how much would the local bike shop or Halfords charge to fit this?
Didn't seem to know what the battery was, which would I buy and does it velcro strap to the frame or do I need a metal frame on the back over the wheel.

Seeing some old bike being re painted got me thinking

Re: Bell doesn't cut it, decent alternative?

Munching pasties in a traffic jam haven't heard a bell- then the bikes going by no mudguards or reflectors or bell I could see.

These Dutch Bell's you speak of, would they fit a mountain bike handle bar and how loud.

Re: Heavy Rider

Interesting can't remember seeing a weight limit on our old bikes mid 1990's. Mountain bikes.
Is this a new thing in lightweight bikes.

Also heavy riders are there tyre limits as we were looking and one make lower pressure than others.

Home trainer attachment

Now riding to the pub is one thing, fine weather there is a couple of quiet routes locally.

Rain, cold and winter are definitely bike in the shed territory, how do the training aids attach to the bicycle, is a suspension mountain bike possible on an indoor trainer? Or racing bicycle only?

Thinking winter cycling on a trainer and a video of somewhere nice, can pause it if bored or tired.

Is there a weight limit as 20 stone plus

Re: I am not a real cyclist , so I have been told

Well I think our family are not real cyclists, more a ride round the block, pub for food and a few drinks as drink driving frowned upon.

I thought a real cyclist is the lycra, shades and miles and miles.
Couple of them we work with have special something or other brand in red.

These ebikes interest me

Re: Introductions - tell us about yourself

Run a small business and looked the other day and thought the ball and chain is getting a bit comfortable, stood on the scales and realized all those steak and chips and pints-need some exercise.
Looking at one of those ebikes and taking the Discovery with a bike carrier so we can have a tear about and a pub meal and a pint.

Also a charity ride, 25 miles a bit of a trek so thinking ride one way and get van to pick us up.
