In the same way that not all makes of running (and cycling) shoes fit my feet, not all makes of helmet fit my head.
+1 for the most important thing being making sure that (if you wear one) your helmet fits and is adjusted properly.
And +1 for this moving to the helmet thread.

Until about 20 years ago there was the 'Cyclist's Rest' at Shieldhill south of Falkirk, appropriately at the top of a very long hill.

I believe there is another pub of the same name somewhere in Northern Ireland.

'Klamka' means 'handle' or 'latch' (it's the word for a door handle). 'Klamkomanetka' looks like the diminutive (the 'i' for 'a' at the end is due to grammatical rules that I barely understand) - could it be 'quick release lever'? Heart ofMidlothian. It's inset in the roadway of Edinburgh High Street, outside St. Giles Cathedral. You should spit on it as you pass, if you're from Edinburgh (it's where the town gibbet stood, back in the day).
