Re: West Yorkshire Cycle Route

Kirklees Council will send you a full map for an SAE...not sure who you send it to though. Knowing the route from Hebden Bridge to Bretton, I'd go clockwise. Good place to stay? Not sure. Hebden Bridge has plenty of tea shops.

Bike Seats for Children

+1 is now 6 months old and sitting a little so I have started to look at bike seats. The seat I want needs to click on and off the rack of my Dawes Galaxy with ease as I also commute on that bike and dont want to carry an empty child seat back and forth. Questions: Are seats rack specific? - my Gala...

Re: The Tour (TDF) General not current action/results.

Yesterday on ITV4 it was said the Tour was 100 years next year, today BBC radio says that it is 110 years old, internet says started 1903. Just told MrsE I will ask the people who really know. When did the Tour actualy start and what happened? 1903 - so next year is 110 years but is also 100th edit...

Re: Parking in Dover

Premier Inn let you use the car park for a few days if you spend a night. A quick google but I couldn't see how many nights it was limited too. IIRC it was 5 nights but you might have to ring to check...took my bike into the room no problems

Re: Maps

I believe (not sure from where mind?) that Cyclng Clubs - maybe the CTC -? were used by Barts maps to check the accuracy of them - also they fit into a rear pocket on your jersey much easier

Re: Cycling at schools initiatives

I'm a teacher in Mcr and British Cycling offer training and resources to establish a go-ride club in school. When I did it it cost £10 + a days cover

It was a few years ago but I believe they still offer it

I run mine as an after school club

They seem to vary in cost from about £40 each down to fiver. Hooks to screw to the wall, bikes to be hung, offset with handlebars being top bottom top ...
