With regards to the Standedge Tunnel, a touring bike or mtb can take 'Boat Lane' over the top and then pick up the old packhorse route down into Marsden. Off the canal at the Tunnel, round to the Diggle Hotel, take the PBW on the left and follow to the summit. AT the top out of teh Car Park and veer...

Good cafes en-route

Its on my commute also. I ride right on the edge of the hatching, but on the tarmac, towards MCr at the Seamark Factory I turn towards Longsight and use the Hatching as a bike lane.

Well club run today took us to the YSP and then on to the cafe at the KLR

Mant thanks good scran, reasonable prices

Next time we will try the other cafe
