Re: Eddie Izzard
I watched that the other night, stayed up for it. I was very impressed by his guts. I also saw him in The Day of the Triffids but of course he was the baddie in that.

Eilithyia (have I spelled that right from memory? No not a member of that group but we did meet at Christmas? Got you guessing now! And yes, to the other post, I (not saying all females) have sometimes felt intimidated by strong views/opinions and perhaps the feeling that it's thought you don't know...

Re: Ladies
As has been stated previously I'm a female! I'm also over 60. I've not cycled with a club for years although I've gone on cycling weekends such as CycleFest in Lancaster (sadly no longer an event), Bike Rite based either at Wooller YHA or Longridge Towers and other events around the country. The peo...

Aren't the licensing people saying if you watch TV on a computer you still have to pay a licence fee? My other half had a demand from them for his garage. He wrote back saying he hadn't a TV (it's a 60ft industrial unit, full of bits of metal, bits of cars etc as is usual in that type of unit. They ...

Yes, haven't been on here for a while to read posts and was surprised to read this post about Manx Cat. I hope she does come back as I've always been interested in all her posts and photographs, particularly as I've folk over in the Island. At one time we were going to meet up if I went over there w...

Re: ebay is weird
I've been watching a Jim Soens bike from the early 60s selling on Ebay. It had a lot of the history of the brand with it.
It sold for around £550! Went to the States and the seller was more concerned that the bike went to someone who would love it than merely for the money.

Ah Kwackers, I wonder if I've seen you around Warrington? Warrington was picked up from Lancashire and dropped into Cheshire in I think 1974. (well, not literally). I worked for the Chief Constable of the Local Borough Police force during part of the 60s and it was Lancashire then, and proud of it!!...

Are these prices with a car? Try going to the Isle of Man at peak or holiday times!

Re: "Essential journeys"
I know this is going off the track a bit and hopefully the snow is gone for a while but years ago when we all walked to school as a matter of course, whatever the weather, you never heard of people slipping on ice and falling, like we've heard of recently. I don't remember slipping much myself. Nowa...
