Re: Bike fit.

I purchased the bike used around 4 months ago.
The only component that I can see that isn’t standard is the stem everything else looks standard.

I wasn’t aware of the purpose of the bike but it’s something worth noting and I don’t have any tri bars or anything a like on the bike.

When im on the bike and riding in a tucked/ aero position it doesn’t feel too bad it’s just if I was to be going up a hill or sat more upright where I feel slightly overstretched.

Thanks for you’re help

Re: Bike fit.

Thanks for that I will check it out and I have played around with bringing the seat forward slightly. To be honest it’s sounding like the bike may be just that tad bit too big for me as I’ve already a “short” stem on the bike with the seat relatively forward. I appreciate the help.

Re: Bike fit.

I’ve just had a look and the stem currently on the bike is 80mm surely it can’t be shortened much more than that?

Re: Bike fit.

Thanks for you’re reply. My frame is currently a 56.

Ok I didn’t consider that as an option I will have a look into a smaller stem is there a guide for how short to go where it doesn’t compromise the ride/steering too much.

Thanks James.

Bike fit.

Looking for some advice.

Currently have a Specialized sl4 Roubaix size large.

I’m 178cm with an inside leg of 82cm.

I can’t help but feel like I’m slightly overstretched when riding it is only marginally but I’m currently putting a lot of time of the bike training for a triathlon.

The question is have a bought the wrong size bike and should I down size.

I would appreciate any help. Thanks James.
