Sadly since then I haven't been able to get out much and as the older members will testify, as you get older it takes a long time to get fit, and five minutes to loose it. But like Arnie I'll be back. Dave Hi Dave and welcome :) I'm new too. Can totally empathise with the above regarding loss of fi...

Same in Greenock :( Got there about 10.30am. No mitts left at all and only one pair of Medium trousers which hubby took (I was hoping they wouldn't fit him and I could have them but no such luck). Got a ladies shirt (the last small) and we each got a jacket (the last mediums left). I also got one of...

I hate it when people see your pain as a money-making opportunity. I wish there was a miracle cure for taking advantage of people.

Thanks for sharing this. Very interesting and encouraging for an unfit rookie to read.

All the best with your future touring plans.

Poor Beakyboy! He just wanted to know if anyone had used these saunas. Beakyboy, you would probably be better off finding a Sciatica forum and asking them. I've never used an infra-red sauna so can't comment on them. Again, there may well be a forum full of people who use them who could be very help...

We bought a hi-rise type of rack and it doesn't obscure the lights/number plate. The light boards cost about £25 (I only looked on ebay though). Probably cheaper than getting fined. I'm new to all this and can't believe how much everything costs! From the clothing to the accessories and the bikes th...

Does anyone know if they normally sell out quickly of the bike stuff?

Like is it a "queue up from 5am" type sale?

Probably a daft question but I've never bought bike clothing before and since theirs is so cheap I just wondered.....

Thanks for that Toad and welcome to you too! Hope you enjoy your new bike.

Mick F, thanks for the welcome. Have a great time on your cruise (try, anyway!). Weather here has been awful too (W coast of Scotland). Maybe we'll both get an Indian summer in September. Fingers crossed.

Hello all :) Just bought a new bike yesterday, but have been "lurking" in here for a couple of weeks and reading your posts with great interest, whilst doing some research before buying. The last time I had a bike was about 18 years ago and I have very few memories of it (Peugeot MTB) - I ...
