Re: Just plain stupid

[quote="hubgearfreak however, are you suggesting that the motorists were overtaking when it wasn't safe to overtake? and then blame the cyclists for that?? read your highway code, or google it. motorists should pass with as much space as they would a small car, and proceed with caution ...

Just a couple of points raised;- 1)Tubes sticking themselves to the inside of tyres. I find a liberal coating of talc inside the tyre when putting it on new solves this problem. 2)On getting hands dirty when carrying out repairs at the roadside A film cannister(if you've not got one ask at Max Spie...

Best cycling adventure book, any ideas?

Any thoughts on 'must read' cycling books? I enjoyed Lance Armstrongs series of books, I enjoyed Josie Dews travel books, I have the first of Alastair Humphreys around the world books ( Link here http://www.alastairhumphreys.com/index.html ) In need of some more inspiring reading, any sugestions? :i...

Graham, Thanks for the welcome 8) I'm lucky in as much as my work provide all the gym gear for free so I don't have the hassle of fee's etc. I agree that gym cycling is a chore. I'm not a fan of MTV booming out dross to help pass the time either. I do have a half decent road bike hanging off ...
