Maybe they know that the members they're loosing are expecting more member benefits and the ones they're recruiting to replace them are easier to satisfy. Maybe they know more than us or maybe they haven't a clue and it's all random. Either way it simply isn't true to say they're disinterested in membership on the grounds that we don't know how they regard the turnover.
Personally I dislike the organisations who start questioning you about why you are leaving and persuading you to change your mind. My daughters exploit it with their phone companies knowing that they will get all sorts of offers thrown at them not to leave but for everyone else its just wearing.
I suspect also the majority of membership churn is by non-renewal not cancellation and those that are cancelling are predominantly those where the member had died or been taken ill, or for personal financial circumstances. And perhaps they've learnt that the rest they've upset in some way and who want the chance to rant at the CTC. But given the way they rant on and on about it on here long after they've left perhaps they've learnt its better not to open that door.
