Roadside recovery with tubeless punctures?
Apologies if this question has been covered previously (I’m sure it must have been) but I can’t find a thread.
I’ve recently bought a hybrid/gravel bike with tubeless tyres and I’m happy this is the way to go.
I also take my bike overseas to tour and on such occasions don’t have the opportunity to phone my wife to pick me up if I have severe blowout.
Up to now, for tubed tyres I have just taken a spare inner tube so I’m covered in the event of a puncture.
I realise the tubeless scenario is different:-
1/ The sealant should prevent most punctures anyway
2/ But in the event of a major puncture where the sealant is not enough, I need to have a plan to get me going again on a remote roadside..
So do I
1/ Carry an inner tube and just put that in?
2/ Carry a plug kit (but I have read these are not necessarily fail-safe)?
3/ Carry a spare tyre?
For options 1/ and 3/ I realise I need tyre levers that can cope with tubeless tyres - I have just bought some.
Beyond that, each option seems to have downsides
1/ To put an inner tube in, I need to remove the tubeless valve. What small and light tool will do this easily?
2/ For either the plug kit option of the spare tyre option, I need to inflate the tube with a handheld pump…..I’m not sure this is realistic for tubeless?
What to you experienced people do?
Thanks!

Wheelset compatability/specifying
Wheelset question:-
I have a Boardman Hybrid and want to go tubeless. Assuming I need to change the wheelset I need to know how to specify the wheels I need.
The variables seem to be
- Size – in this case 700c
- Disc compatibility – “6 bolt”?
- TLR
- Axle (in my case QR not thru axle)
Any other aspects I need to be aware of?
eg will all cassettes fit?
Many thanks
