Hi Jon, Yes I use energy and recovery drinks all the time I do find they help me. I use such things as Efectiv Hydration to support hydration during intense cycling, I also use High 5 drinks and find them good too. One thing I did find is pre workouts are no good for me especially if they contain a pump formula as my legs swell up with the pump and it feels like the skin is going to split

There are a lot of supplements on the market but my advice is trial and error on a non important event. Hope this helps a little
