Re: My Itinerary
How much did your train fare from Edinburgh/Penzance cost? I'm flying Edinburgh/Newquay for £37 then train to Penzance £10. I am sending my bike Parcelforce 48 for £20 to bike shop in Penzance. Just curious thats all.

I have decided to go via Wye Valley as I think further north Warrington,Wigan, Preston will be busy and it wi...

Shoes for walking up hils and cycling down them.
Hi All I am doing a long cycle run in the summer that will involve hills and heavy traffic. I wear shimano shoes with double sided pedals for spd 56 multi release cleats. Shoes are extremely comfortable and I find the pedals and cleats fine. However I know that I will have to walk up some hills and ...

The other disadvantage is having to start looking for somwhere at a reasonable time and doing a shorter day than hoped. Good point.Cranky. By booking in advance all you have to do is get there. You don't have the worry of getting a bed for the night so you can extend your miles a bit or take it a b...

Well done Cranky. You make it sound like a walk in the park - which I know it isn't. You were so lucky with the weather, hope I get the same next May. Did you book accommadation ahead or just risk it. I intend to take my chances although Mick F. is against this. I just don't know how much I will man...

Hi guys What a great source of information you are. I feel reassured you are out there to advise on my routes. At this stage think I will miss Bristol, but I could change my mind, and head north from Bridgewater, to Axbridge, turn right at Churchill onto the A368 to Bath and then A46 to Stroud. Out ...
