On a tour to Cornwall using clipless for first time. Struggled fully loaded to top of hill and decide to have a rest about 0700 in the morning. Could not get my feet free and majesticaly toppled over from an almost stationary cycle, first reaction to look all round to see if I had been observed. Cou...

Time Trialers used to be specified to wear black so they where not conspicuous on the road, and so call attenion to themselves, and also the attention of the police for racing on the public highway. The colour seems to be carried on by tradition, as years ago the only people to wear tights for cycli...

It should not move from the centralised position when you operate the brake lever. It should be tight.

Well, I am only a 9 1/2 stone weakling, but I am not a spinner , also I do tend to push higher gears than I should, but no where near the amount by the professionals.
As it only requires a little wear on the cups to produce the effect and aluminium is not the best of load bearing materials.

I had some MA40's that where 1976 model, when I up graded my rear hub to cassett, I had heared about the terrible tales of rims exploding, so I cut them through to see how bad they where. It broke my heart, it would easily have lasted another 30 years. The front was the same.

I'm intrigued that in this lengthy thread no one has mentioned the "Bike-Eye" mirror that attaches to the frame just above the forks. It's advertised regularly in Cycle magazine and appears to have the "blessing" of Phil Liggett!! Has anyone tried it? No use with D/T shifters

Campag Ultra torque C/T Chainset???

Having used the Ultra torque for about 9 months, when pedaling hard in high gear, I could feel a distinct click through the soles of my feet, when starting the down ward power stroke. This was getting steadily worse. I re-torqued the centre bolt , and it was still at the original setting 42 nmh as r...
