Bi]oris wants out but can not be bothered to devise or put forward a true plan.

So a half-hearted plan, designed to fail, and then claim that "we were reasonable and incite the 27% to a frenzy of blaming the EU are being intransigent, and justifying no deal.

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

So we will know today Boris, Backstop. Though I heard a little on LBC last night. Some kind of double borders for a few years. Also heard a rumour that eu states are pressing the commission to put a time limit on the backstop. One thing mentioned how financial services are not covered by the single...

Re: Punishment Stops

Hi all, One can expect the opinion in the pub to include - "Well, the don't pay Road Tax"  Sorted that on one occasion. Petrolhead at work, who came out with that one in the staff room, and the fact that I should give way as he paid "Road Tax" and I didn't. I agreed ...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

To use a much-abused supporter of brexit phrase.

You voted to regain control of our borders - You won... get over it

There was nothing in the referendum about not having a hard border with Ireland.

Piffle on the radio this morning being given the opportunity to spout all his PR, marketing, lies by Tory PR Spin Doctor Nick Robinson (of the BBC) and one thing Piffle said really shocked me. He said " I've been tasked by the British people ". When did the British people task him with an...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

Corbyn's trouble is he is more a chairman than a leader? Is that a good thing or bad? I don't know. IMHO it's a good thing, the problem is the way the rightwing media have labelled him as an out and out communist. But I trust him to make life easier for the struggling. And to put the country back on...

Must try harder.

Perhaps "getting out your big stick" was not the best wording in a thread comparing men and women

Re: antisocial parking the norm?

I once came out of my local supermarket to see a large white van on the crosshatched area which meant it was blocking drivers views to safely leave the parking bays. It was very common and a source of considerable vehicle strife and I had a bit of a thing about it and had challenged folk in the pas...

Re: antisocial parking the norm?

We have massive problems with a local Car Boot Sale. Every inch of the grass areas, pavement and road are filled with antisocial car parking. The School puts out cones, that are simply moved by the drivers and park there anyway. We have now started a campaign of photographing them and placing them o...
