Thorn voyager tandem pannier rack options

Hi there

Can anyone suggest any options for a pannier rack for a thorn voyager childback tandem? It'll need longer stays due to shape. Thorn suggested their own rack but wanted to explore cheaper options.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Kirkcudbright to Maybole/Ayr

Looks fantastic. So the path south of Clatteringshaws is worse than in the photos? I've just put a new pair of Marathon Supreme 32s on to my tourer, wonder if they'll cope?

Kirkcudbright to Maybole/Ayr

Anyone done this route before? (NCN 7). Looking to do in a few weeks on touring bik (semi-slick tyres), was looking at map and looks like part of the route through Galloway forest is possibly on gravel.

Any advice most welcome.

Re: Cycling from Oxford to bath

Did this route a few years ago; went down from oxford to the ridgrway (passing white horse of uffington and wayland's smithy). There was a path which heads south to Marlborough, then went west to Avebury before south west to Devizes. From Devizes you can follow the canal all the way to Bath.

lightweight three man tent

Hi there

I'm looking at getting a three man tent for cycle touring with my partner and our eighteen month old baby. Anyone got any recommmendations? Not really looking to spend above £120. Already have a Wildcountry duolite but this is a bit too small.

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Rear child seat

Wow thanks very much for all the incredibly informative advice. I've decided to go for the Co-Pilot Limo and have just ordered it on wiggle with the rack for just 60 bones!

Now all I need is this hail to stop.

Rear child seat

Hi there

I'm looking at buying a child bike seat this month to take the bairn out over Christmas. I've been browsing but there seems to be an awful lot of choice. Anybody got any particular recommendations? Looking to spend 70 quid max.

Cheers for any advice

Re: front panniers for Raleigh Royal

I use a pair of Ortlieb front rollers. They seem to fit fine. It certainly isn't the cheapest rack (I think I got mine from Spa cycles) but it's definitely top quality stuff.

Re: front panniers for Raleigh Royal

I've fitted a tubus ergo to my front fork. Fits fine on the same eyelet I use for the mud guard.

Re: Broken shimano sora sti right hand shifter

Thanks very much for all the advice, I took it to my LBS yesterday and the guy had a quick look at it before deducing it was the cable. Henceforth I've purchased a new inner and outer cable which I intend to put on at the weekend. Time to trawl the web for 'how to' videos.

Cheers again

Broken shimano sora sti right hand shifter

Cycling to work this morning on my Raleigh Royal the right hind shifter stopped working. It still clicks just once and the cable is still tense but it just isn't changing the rear derailleur anymore. I've had the bike about 2 and a half years and never had any problems before. Does anybody know if i...

Re: Great Glen Way with a baby in a cycle trailer

Hi there, like the video, looks like you had great weather for the trip. I've got a 3 month old nipper and am looking to take him on a tour at some point this year, possibly September. I'm currently look at trailers and noticed in the video the one you have can be used as a pushchair too. Out of int...
