I was recently involved in a collision with a car (drivers fault) The police/ambulance were called and I was checked over by paramedics at the scene. The driver seemed keen not to go down the insurance route and has given me her telephone number for contact. In the mean time I have her insurance details from the Police.
Question : Would it be better to phone her and engage in dialogue to resolve the issue quickly and get my write-off bike replaced, or just send her insurance company a written quote for replacement which could take months.
My main concern is that by speaking to her directly I may prejudice any future proceedings (court or otherwise)
Your thoughts/opinions greatly appreciated............
