Re: Fazua software use anyone?
I have found the software easy to use, and settings and info very helpful.
The only issues is plugging the whole bike into my desk top.
Well worth keeping up with the upgrades, black pepper changed my bike.

Re: E-bike range
I have a Fazua powered bike.
Weight 95kg bike 15kg
With two 250wh battary' s I have covered 100 miles three times around 1500 meters of climbing.
Touring with bags in hilly country this drops to around 70 miles.
I allways ride on the lowest green setting, and find the bike and system a joy to use.

Stolen 26/2/21
Stolen from a locked shed overnight in Birmingham, locked to a ground anchor.
Riese and Muller Tinker light blue.
Cairn E Adventure 1
The Cairn has a hope seat post collar, Hunt wheels, and an anything cage on the fork leg.
I still have the battary charger and keys for both, and the gear box for the Cairn.

Re: what power/speed would you like if no regulations
I was musing this question whilst out today on my Fazua powered bike. I have ridden around 5000Km since moving to an E bike due to injury.
Whilst more speed is allways attractive, I looked at my average speeds, often over 17mph, with longer rides in the summer over 19mph average. Also now able to keep up with club rides.
With that in mind the power, speed and torc provided by my bike is perfect for me.

Re: Fazua range
I have a Cain bike with Fazua, and weigh 94kg.
With it always set to eco mode I would get around 75km, with around 1000m of climbing.
When touring I carry a spare battery, but find with bags on tour im looking at around 60km a battery.

Re: eBike like my Specialized Tricross for £3k
I went from a Diverge to a Cain.
I have to say I prefer the ride on the Cain. I have ridden the Cairn over 2000 miles with no great issues including touring the Pennine Way this year.

Worth considering other gravel bikes with better standard wheels too.

Cairn adventure
Following struggling with a knee injury for some time, I have taken plunge and bought one of these.
I waited until I have covered my first 1000k to report.
First impressions were good, however on my first rides it developed a problem with an intermittent cut out.
Following sending pictures to Fazua and Cairn. They offered a refund or replacement bike.
I took the new bike and have to say it's a revalation.
It feels much like cycling a normal bike with the wind behind you on Breeze mode. With the Black Pepper software upgrade it suits my cadence perfectly.
Range for a 95kg rider over a course with 750m of climbing is around 80k. This reduces quickly if you use the more powerful levels of assistance.
The group set wheels and finishing kit is all great quality, particularly the Hunt wheels. I also really like the single chain ring up front that runs faultlesly.
I have ridden 50k without the battery and motor and come to the conclusion of 'why would you'.
Everyone who has seen it loves the look of the bike, with others in my club considering the switch.
Nothing really not to like here, of lockdown allows I will be taking it to the Pecos Europa in September with a spare battery pack and rack.

Re: Summer sun advice
Im allways looking out for good advice, following Maiignant Melonoma with disfiguring surgury and five years of follow up treatment.
Throughout this time I have come to see us as a high risk group, meeting other cyclists with skin cancer at my follow up appointments.
