Re: Thorn Raven Tour - alternatives
I have seen the Van Nicholas Ti 26'' wheeled Rohlhoff Pioneer tourer http://vannicholas.com/28/Pioneer_Rohloff/bike.aspx marked down to around to similar money as the Thorn, or the Chas Roberts Roughstuff frame http://www.robertscycles.com/prices.html is £1050 for bespoke quality, I have a Chas Roberts Audax and can recommend them for quality and ride.

Re: Shoulder injury
Thanks for the advice every one-I have come to realise this going to be a long process, still with physio and hydro *5 a week still cant weight bear or lift my arm more than 90% in any direction. For the record I have had bicep tendons repaired, rotator cuff/sub scapula repair and a proximal ORIF to my Humerus.
Thanks so much for your replys

Shoulder injury
Hi
I am trying to return to cycling following an extensive shoulder operation, which has left me with reduced range of movement and pain on weight bearing, and a non weight bearing bicep until June. I wanted to ask has any one come across a manufactured shoulder support or strapping that could help when I return. Up until Christmas I took part in audax rides and am keen to return ASAP.
Thanks for any help
Colin

Re: How were they stolen?
Hi- Just for interests sake I had a Trek stolen a couple of years ago in Coventry, It was locked in a cycle parking area with a £40 Abus chain and pad lock. When I asked at the hairdressers opposite they informed me that workers in day glow waist coats had stopped and removed 4 bikes using bolt croppers and taken them away. Reported it to the police, to my knowledge they have never followed up the information. What chance have we if this goes on in broad day light?

Re: SPA Cycles Ti frame
I have seen one of the Spa bikes; although I’m no expert, the bike appeared well made and virtually indistinguishable from my Sabbath. Looks like a bargain.

ribble cycles
I would like to enquire how other CTC members have found Ribble, recently i returned a part to them- they acknowledged reciept of the part and emailed me that they had put a replacement in the post. However after a month no sign of the said part. It seems the telephone is never answered, and my four emails not replied to. I have found this very surprising as i have always found them very reliable in the past.
